Our range of underlays suitable for use beneath wood, engineered and laminate flooring are some of the most varied on the market. We only offer underlays for wood flooring that meet at least 3 of the following benefits:

UniBase (Bronze, Silver & Gold) For Underfloor Heating

All 3 wood underlays are best used in light traffic areas, like bedrooms or dining areas, as opposed to hallways and living rooms. All 3 also offer varying degrees of cushioning and sound reduction, and they’re also compatible with underfloor heating systems too, adding to the overall underfoot comfort on offer here. Even better, UniBase Silver and UniBase Gold also offer moisture protection too.

Barrier/Barrier Plus For Moisture Protection

Both Barrier and Barrier Plus are great for medium traffic areas, so you’ll be able to make good use of them in offices and living spaces that maybe aren’t as busy as your main living room and hallways. They’re both great for cushioning, sound reduction and moisture protection whilst also being suitable for underfloor heating.

TimberTech For Heavy Use

We offer 8 TimberTech products in total available in various thicknesses, all of which are great for heavy traffic areas like hallways and living rooms and the TimberTech2 Gold, TimberTech Elite, TimberTech Elite Plus and TimberTech2 Acoustic Plus are all compatible for commercial use too. 

High Quality Carpet Underlays 

Our carpet underlays are also known for offering multiple benefits at once and are suitable for varying degrees of traffic just as with wood underlays. Here are some of the ranges we stock that to do very well with trade customers:

FloorSure (Silver, Gold & Platinum) For Comfort

The FloorSure range all boast cushioning, compression recovery, heat insulation and sound insulation as some of their key benefits, but with varying degrees, whereby FloorSure Silver isn’t quite as impressive in those areas as FloorSure Platinum. The entire range is best suited to light traffic areas, but this PU foam underlay is incredibly comfortable underfoot.

SpringBack (Silver & Gold) For Compression Recovery

SpringBack offers a range of underlays that are all great in medium-traffic areas of your customer’s homes. They offer the exact same benefits as the FloorSure range above, but as its name suggests, it’s the compression recovery in medium traffic areas that truly makes this underlay range stand out. Choose from Silver or Gold; both are excellent ways to support every square metre of the carpet above.

Pure Underlay Range For Insulation

We manufacture 4 Pure Underlays for carpets in heavy traffic areas. Two versions each of the Pure Super High Density and Pure Ultra High Density underlays – 9mm and 11mm. They’re all known for their cushioning underfoot, compression recovery, and heat and sound insulation as those above, but are also particularly well-known for being hard-wearing and resistant to damage, making them an excellent choice for busy hallways and heavy traffic areas. 

Acoustic Underlays 

Our acoustic underlays are important to many of our trade customers because every one of them (apart from our SoundBarrier underlay) is suitable for commercial use. Whilst many of our customers see domestic installations as their bread and butter, commercial flooring jobs are obviously more lucrative as there’s far more flooring that needs to be installed.

Many of these acoustic underlays are also suitable for underfloor heating, all of them clearly offer outstanding sound insulation (hence their inclusion in the range), and almost all of them are hard-wearing and are known for their durability.
